Places to see:

Phi Phi Island
Just a short 45 minutes journey from phuket, will transport you to the tropical paradise and famous islands of Ko Phi. With a Kodak moment with every view, it’s the ultimate tropical getaway in Thailand.

Phang Nga bay
A distinctive feature of Phang Nga Bay is the sheer limestone cliffs  that  just vertically out of the emerald green water. James Bond Island and Ko Panyi are two of the more famous spots in the bay.By far the best means  for enjoying the spectacular scenery, with only brief encounters with the tourists crowds as James Bond and Ko Panyyi, is to take one of the boat trips from the northern end of phuket.

 
Hat Kata (Kata Beach)
Located approx 17 km from Phuket city are Kata Noi (small Kata) and Kata Yai (Big Kata) Beaches.Both are renowned for snorkeling to see the coral,tropical fishes and the undersea eco-system. Also worth visiting is Ko Pu, a small uninhabited island located off laem sai.
 
Hat Patong: phuket’s most developed beach offers numerous leisure, sporting, shopping and recreational Options along its 3-km-long crescent bay. windsurfing, snorkeling, sailing swimming and sunbathing number among popular daytime activities. Patong is equally well known for its vibrant nightlife, among seafood restaurants  prominently feature. The following places offer enjoyable activities:

The View Point
It is located midpoint between nai han and kata beaches.the scenic kata noi,kata and karon beaches,and kop u island can be viewed from this point.
 
Phuket Submarine
The submarine is a modern tourist submarine with big windows and lcd displays located between all of the view ports for the customers to have views from the external camera.The tour takes approx 2 hours with 45minutes underwater.the submarine can take upto 48 passengers at one time.
 
Phuket Fantasea
A large-scale night time amusement centre on 140 acres near the village of Kamala Bay, 4 kms north of patong. Thai cultural traditions are mixed with the latest modern technology in “Las Vegas Style.Magic elephant disappearing into thin air, gymnastics, musical, fountains, and a circus are among the many attractions.
 
Jungceylon
Jungceylon was a name for phuket used back in 1511 when it was a fertile  and prosperous port town embraced by the Andaman sea. The name  is now being used again for the junceylon project,aworld class shopping andentertainment destination that will revive Phuket’s great history and reputation and make it known around the world.
 
Phuket town
It serves mainly as a dormitory and shopping centre. splendid colonial style residence built by late 19th century tin and rebber barons and shop houses from the sam period provide distinctive character.

By air
This is perhaps the easiest way to get to Phuket. Domestic airlines operate several flights daily between Bangkok and Phuket. It takes arround 1.20 hours to reach there by flight. Some Airlines are Phuket Air, Bangkok Airways, Thai Airways etc.
