A day in Kathmandu

One day private tour in the Kathmandu valley is the best way to explore ancient history, art and crafts, religion and culture of Kathmandu city and authentic local Nepali food to end the tour. 

We begin our tour with visit to the Holy Pashupatinath Temple.


Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath temple, renowned and UNESCO enlisted world heritage site is sacred Hindu temple located on the bank of Bagmati River. It is the biggest temple of Hindu Supreme Lord Shiva.


After visit to Pashupatinath, we then proceed to Baudha to visit Baudhanath Stupa.


Baudhanath Stupa: Baudhanath Stupa, well knowned Buddhist Monument as well as UNESCO enlisted world heritage site constructed in Mandela Shape is the biggest Stupa in the South Asia. It is one of the popular tourist destination and visited by many. Though some parts of the Stupa was damaged during 2015 earthquake, the stupa is fully renovated and well maintained.


Proceed to Basantapur and on the way Lunch break.


Basantapur: Basantapur Darubar Square also known as Kathmandu Darubar Square is one of the three main Darubar Square in the Kathmandu valley that is enlisted in World Heritage Site. The Basantapur Darubar Square is the traditional heart of the old town and has spectacular legacy of traditional architecture. One can observe traditional monuments, art and crafts and rich Nepalese history. Though some part of the square was damaged by the earthquake, it is still a great place for tourist.


Swayambhu: also known as the Monkey temple of Nepal situated at top of hill is a great place to observe the religious harmony as well as best place to view the Kathmandu valley. Swayambhu is the world heritage site andstands on a typically stylized lotus mandala base which a long time ago is believed to have originated from a legendary lake of Kathmandu Valley.


Return back to hotel and rest of the day is free for personal excursion or for shopping. And we transfer back to hotel. Free at evening and dinner at hotel.
